Water Types

Water filtration and specialty options

Compare water filtration and treatment methods for your home or business. Shop selected systems and replacement filters online across the United States. In Southern California, ask us about rentals, installation, and service for new or existing systems. Each technology serves a different purpose; the right choice depends on your water and treatment goals.

Primary Filtration

Sediment filtration

Sediment Filtration

Remove sand, rust, dirt, and visible particles. This essential first stage protects equipment, prevents clogs, and improves clarity for all downstream filtration.

Activated carbon filtration

Activated Carbon Filtration

Activated carbon can reduce chlorine taste and odor. Reduction of other substances depends on the specific filter and its tested claims; choose a cartridge matched to your water and goals.

Reverse osmosis filtration

Reverse Osmosis (RO)

Reverse osmosis uses a membrane to reduce many dissolved substances in drinking water. Actual reduction varies by system, water conditions, and maintenance; review the specific product’s performance information before choosing a system.

Ultraviolet water disinfection

Ultraviolet (UV) Disinfection

UV treatment can inactivate microorganisms when the equipment is properly sized and maintained. It does not remove dissolved chemicals or sediment, and performance depends on water clarity and the specific system.

Multi-stage water filtration

Multi-Stage Systems

Multi-stage systems combine treatment steps selected for the water source and intended use, such as sediment, carbon, reverse osmosis, or UV. Additional mineral or enhancement stages are optional.

Ultrafiltration (UF)

Ultrafiltration uses a fine membrane to reduce suspended particles, bacteria, and parasites. Unlike reverse osmosis, UF generally leaves dissolved minerals and salts in the water. Performance depends on the membrane and system.

Secondary / Post-Filtration Options

Optional finishing media and devices used after primary filtration, often after reverse osmosis. Placement and compatibility depend on the system and your water goals.

Mineral Finishing Options

Alkaline mineral rebalancing

Alkaline Water (Mineral Rebalancing)

Mineral cartridges may add calcium or magnesium and raise pH. Results depend on the media, incoming water, and use.

Benefits include:

  • Improved taste
  • Reduced acidity
  • Optional mineral finishing after RO filtration

Often paired with RO systems to re-mineralize purified water.

Alkaline Plus mineral rebalancing

Alkaline Water PLUS (Mineral Rebalancing)

Specialty finishing cartridges may use mineral media, tourmaline, or hematite. Mineral output and pH vary by cartridge and water conditions.

Benefits include:

  • Improved taste
  • Reduced acidity
  • Optional mineral finishing after RO filtration

Often paired with RO systems to re-mineralize purified water.

Water remineralization with coral calcium

Re-mineralized Water with Coral Calcium

Adds natural minerals derived from sea coral to purified water, restoring calcium, magnesium, and trace elements.

Benefits include:

  • Enhanced taste and smoothness
  • Supports pH balance naturally

Frequently used after RO or other filtration systems for premium drinking water.
